The idea of atraumatic surgery is becoming more and more noticeable within all surgical disciplines. Leading this development for many years, I am very pleased to see that this is also the case for the Phlebology. To promote this technique and to solve problems, societies were founded all over the world.

On March 20th 1993 the International Forum for Minisurgery of Varicose Veins was founded in Frankfurt, Germany and has now more than 1500 members all over the world.

This forum represents a community of interests and a scientific work group with its main goal to acquire the appropriate appreciation for the minisurgical methods.

The forum organises an annual convention and release a convention book, prepares courses, offers access to international literature and features the conference proceedings. Because I hold contacts in this issue world wide I would like to join the activities in other countries with this society.

We are in process to establish the current activities in the field of minisurgery and we would like to ask you to return the enclosed form in case you work in this field. The more colleagues become members the more importance and consideration minisurgical performances will gain.

The forum has neither an admission nor an annual fee.
